My friend wants to get pregnant at 15 because she is phycotic and thinks that world is going to end in the year 2012. I guess the Aztects said that and they said other things that came true like hitler and some hurricane in the east. I have told her that she is stupid for beliving in this but she still wants to go ahead and loose her virginity so that she can experience having children before she dies. Any suggestions on what to say to her to change her mind.

  1. As a friend, I think that you should tell her your parents and her parents that their daughter is planning to become pregnant in the near future.

Her parents need to know about this ASAP so that they can stop her from making a horrible mistake.

Yes, it may sound like snitching, but in the long run it's for the best.

When I was 15 (I'm 30 now) I too, wanted to have a baby with my older boyfriend. My best friend told her parents and my mother because she was concerned.

My mother then forbade me from seeing him and took the necessary steps to make sure that he and I couldn't see each other.

I was angry at my best friend until I realized that her "snitching" was one of the best displays of friendship anyone had ever done for me. If it wasn't for her, I'd be a single mom with a teenage daughter right now!

Sorry this was so long, I just wanted to point out the seriousness of this issue.

  2. tell it is cruel to bring children in to a world that she believes is ending..Tell her this a selfish act, she won't be forgiven for being selfish. Tell her it hurts to lose your virginity and there is no guarantee  she will even get pregnant.

  3. Tell her that people have been predicting the end of the world for THOUSANDS OF YEARS. Seriously. If we believed every one of these prophecies, the world would have ended four or five thousand years ago.

For instance, a lot of people thought the apocalypse was going to come in the year 2000 because of the "y2k" phenomenon. You're probably too young to really remember, but people pretty much thought every computer in the world was going to crash and we'd have to revert back to old times without technology. People were even stockpiling food and withdrawing all their money.

    Basically, this is nothing new.
