  1. I'm 4 months pregnant, and I still get pain once in a while when I sneeze or cough too hard.

It's very normal. Most likely your round ligaments.

  2. Once I was 12-13 weeks I started a super easy Yoga DVD at home. I love it and it's a pregnancy one. My midwife Ok'd it for me and I usually have my kids trying to follow along as well.

Sounds like you have round ligament pain. It's from your uterus growing and stretching stuff out of the way so it can grow. I try to bend over when I cough or sneeze to give my tummy a break. If I don't I get sharper pains. Walking a bit is also a great activity to do to get some exercise, maybe work up to 30 mins if your doc says Ok?

  3. its very normal to feel pain and cramping in early pregnancy..its just the uterus stretching and growing an pushing all muscles that are in its way and also pushing on organs... as long as the pain is not severe an accompanied by bleeding then its fine...i am 32wks an i have had cramping the whole way through...

  4. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I got the same thing around six weeks, and it worried me as well. I was told that it's called round ligament pain, and it's just your tummy muscles starting to stretch as the baby begins to grow. I found an article on it for you, I'll pop it in the "source" box at the end so you can read up on it, but there's nothing to be worried about.

Most websites that I've looked at say there's nothing wrong with continuing your exercise routine, but if you don't already have one I wouldn't advise that you suddenly start an energetic sport!

I found another great site for you on exercise during pregnancy which should help (again, I'll list it at the end) that says just take things slowly, gentle exercise is best to start with, don't overheat, drink plenty of water and don't get too breathless. Be aware of your limits, and don't overstretch yourself. Something like gentle walking would be great.

  5. It's normal.

    Just your uterus stretching.
