When did you (or will you) start parking in the "expectant mothers" parking spots?

  1. I think that anytime is fine.  Even in the first trimester.  But that's probably just cause I'm right in the middle of my morning sickness and hate having to walk far distances because I feel light headed.  I haven't parked in them yet just because I know people will shoot me dirty looks because I'm 5'9" 135 and not showing a bit, but I don't think it's super different for those of us who are getting ready to pass out and for those who are so big they are having problems walking now.  Either way you don't want to walk long distances and for good reason.

  2. I only used them when there was bad weather otherwise I felt like I needed the exercise LOL.  But as soon as your showing I would think it would be fine, or just when your feeling lousy.  I don't think the police will stop anyone and say, "are you pregnant?".  Good luck!

  3. you are lucky that you have that parking around your area. i use to see the signs but now that i'm pregnant its like they all disappeared! i suppose because ppl were abusing them...like using them when they aren't preggo.

i would use them if they were around just because sometimes i am so tired and washed out that it would be nice to not have to walk clear across the parking lot just to go in and get a couple things and thats it

  4. lol. . i always did from day 1. i hate when people look at you too.. people have always stared at me from the time i pulled in to the time i walked into the store too, so its a little better to wait until youre obviously showing

  5. umm well idk if your preggo anytime is fine. But atleast by 6 months

  6. I started as soon as I started showing. I know at Wegman's grocercy store they have a sign that says "expectant mothers or mothers with young children"

  7. i never used them really until i was very late, maybe 8 months, walking seems to be the only sort of excersise i can do so i take advantage of it.  most places by me dont have these except at baby stores and usually anyone parks there weather they are pregnant or not

  8. Around here we have expectant mother/new mother parking.  I start parking there as soon as I find out I'm pregnant and continue until the child learns how to walk.  My son is about 18 months old and still not walking.  I hope I'm not parking there until he's 18 YEARS!!

I think the spaces are wider which helps with getting the stroller out and it's closer to the door so less chance of the toddler getting away from me and getting hit by a speeding car.  Some people around here speed on parking lots.

  9. Never.  Pregnancy is not a disability of any kind.  I think that if you can walk around the mall, you can walk a little further to your parking spot.

  10. I don't think I will. Im perfectly capable of walking, and its just that much more exercise for me and baby.... If I had a medical condition or something that was hindering my walking then I might. Im 35 weeks now and well on my way!
