This is my first pregnancy and i am scared that i might miscarriage.

I am only about 5 weeks, i am 21 and weight about 8stone 13, what are my chances of miscarriage.

also is it normal to feel damp down below, sort of like i feel when i am due on my period. also i have been having mild cramping for the last 2 days.

my period is obviously late, is there people out there that still get that late period, because at the first sight of blood i am going to get scared.

sorry i have a lot of questions, i need reassurance.

thank you. xx

  1. stop worrying. the more you worry the higher the chances, just take everyday like you would before you where pregnant I'm 5 weeks and I'm taking folic acid prescribed by my doctor as long as you take them, you should be fine., but the more you worry the more stressed the baby will become.

  2. don't worry so much. that's not good for the baby either. everything is normal. if it makes you feel better go see your doctor. it always makes you feel better to here it from a doctor.

  3. its all normal, and you could also have a little bit of blood called implantation bleeding. bright red blood is NOT a good sign, go see a dr right away if that happens. miscarriage occurs in about 15% of pregnancies... so you shouldnt be so worried

  4. I'm 20, and weigh the same as you. Aslong as your healthy and eat the right food, you have no higher risk of a miscarriage than any one else. I also had/have the same worries as you, i bleed every month-only a little but it's when i usually would have my period, it's called Menstral Bleeding. As long as you dont see any clots you should be fine. Your mild cramping is normal too babe-it's your uteras growing to make room for baby. I'm 30 weeks pregnant with a little girl (to look at me you'd only think i was 3-4 months gone-tiny bump hehe. I hope i've helped chick, if you have any more questions, dont hesitate to IM or e mail me x good luck hunny bear xxxx

  5. The mild cramping is normal for some women...your uterus is stretching and growing, and you will feel that sometimes.

I don't remember feeling dampness, but since you are worrying, it may be in your head.

I bled a few times during pregnancy.  Usually right after s*x or a doctor's exam.  My sister bled when she was 5 weeks for days and days like a period, and her baby was just fine.  We never did find out what happened there.

Are all your other symptoms there?  tender b*****s, heartburn, nausea etc....?

Don't worry too much!  It's not good for the baby!!  Good luck!!

  6. Hello again, Well I am now in the same position as yourself as I too am now pregnant. I took a test yesterday & today, both of which came back positive. So I am guessing I must be about 4 weeks gone. I do also slightly worry a bit about miscarrying or things going. But on the whole I am excited. I have my boyfriend by my side too.

I am experiencing slight cramping at the moment & it does feel a little like when i am due on but not half as bad. My docs appointment is on Tues so fingers crossed it all goes well

Hope everything goes well you too. Best of luck in everything. I'm sure you will be just fine.

    Take care xx
