I just recently applied for medical and it will take about 45 days to process, but i found out about some program called Presumptive Eligibility through medical? How do i go about finding a doctor who will help me ASAP even before my medical works? & if you have done Presumptive Eligibility before how does it work & where do i go?

  1. you should keep in contact with your case worker. I didn't sign up at the social security office I did it through a medical center and they sped up the process for pregnant girls. call around and find out what doctors will accept you now. they are supposed to but a dentist I had wouldn't for my pre medi cal visit.  but keep on your case worker and keep explaining your preg. and need care now not in a month and a half.

  2. In then state of California when you apply for medical you also apply for something called retro-active or something like that.It helps you pay 3 months back from the date you applied.

  4. I chose my doctor first and then found out he took Medical...  then the doctor's office provided me with a temporary card until my Medical was approved.  If you are in San Diego I know a great doc...  otherwise call who you are interested in and ask if they accept Medical (a lot of places do...  I had to also go to a specialist every 3 weeks my entire pregnancy to get ultrasounds and it was all covered.)  gl and hope it helps... and congrats!
