Does anyone know if you can get pregnant when you had an IUD administered? I get sick of taking those stupid pregnancy tests and I know it's most likely going to say NO anyway but just curious if and IUD is a good birth control?

  1. You still have a chance of getting pregnant with an IUD. I had the Mirena. It fell out and I became pregnant within weeks. If you DO get pregnant though, read your info packet, it will tell you the rate of it being a tubal pregnancy is astronomical.

  2. every technology has a chance of fail. it may seem harsh, but abstinence is the only 100% most effective way. even if IUD is proven to work in tests, it can always be defective at some point.

  3. Well, a guy's gotta blow his load inside of you first.

  4. Two easy ways to check:

    1) Take a PREGNANCY TEST

    2) See a DOCTOR

    NOBODY HERE CAN DIAGNOSE YOU!!!

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO DIAGNOSE THESE THINGS OVER THE INTERNET!!!

  5. Anything is possible...rare, but possible. My best friend had an IUD inserted and 2 years later she ended up pregnant. During the birth the IUD came out with the placenta.

  6. IUD is VERY effective - 99%. Mostly the only problem with IUD's is the fact that they can be very uncomfortable (not all women can use them), and that they don't protect from STD's.

But IUD is a good birth control, VERY good.

But always make plans in case it fails - you just never know - and that can happen with any birth control.

  7. The odds of getting pregnant on an IUD are less than 1%.
