Pregnant??????????????

Question

I am 9 days late with my period. I did have unprotected s*x, but my hpt that i took 12 days ago was negative, so was the doctors (urine) test that i had done 4 days ago. I am having like all of the symptoms. Could i still be pregnant and if not what is up with me???

Were you ovulating when you had s*x if so you could be take a HPT and if positive follow up with a blood test

Yes, you could be pregnant, I only got a positive test a week or so after I missed my period. I suggest you ask the doctor to do a blood test.  You can also test again in like 3 days if you want, maybe your hcg is just taking a bit longer to built up, there are women who get a positive hpt even before they miss their period, but others take a long time, even 2 months until the hpt can pick up the hormone in the urine.  Its best to go for a blood test, so that if you are pregnant you can start prenatal care, and make sure you take prenatal vitamins.

usually the doctors test is pretty accurate. Since your nine days try another home test and if your still worried after that go to the doctor again and tell him/her your symptoms and have them take another test.  In my experience I would get myself so worked up I would subconsciously believe I was pregnant and I have missed a period because of it, our bodies are funny like that.

i had this problem when i was ttc! if your test from the doctor 4 days ago was negative then im sorry to say your probably not pregnant

i was 14 days late because i was so desperate to be pregnant! .... or you might just be stressed!

if you still dont come on then take another test!

There is a lot of things that can throw your cycle off, are you certain about your dates?  I would wait another couple days to see if AF shows up and if not test again.  It may be that you ovulated late in your cycle so it's taking a while for there to be enough HCG in your system to register in a urine test.  If you are really concerned I would ask the doctor for a blood test so you know for sure.
