i'm 10 weeks preganant.

i'm having very sharp pains in my lower back and stomach.

sort of like cramps.

although i'm not bleeding or anything.

could something be wrong?

The pain is kinda sorta trying to go away right now,

but is there any reason you know of that why this may be happening?

  1. I had the same type of cramps when i was 10 or so weeks pregnant.  I told my doc and he said that it was uterus expanding and preparing itself for the baby.

  2. Just keep a close watch out for bleeding. A lot women have some cramping while pregnant and nothing is wrong. Just listen to your body and if it gets worse or spotting occurs go get checked out.

  3. its is more than likely just your muscles and ligaments stretching to accomodate your growing baby.  I had this the whole time from about 7 weeks.

  4. its normal as long as ur not bleeding.its your womb stretching i had the same with my first and was so scared it perfectly normal but if there is bleeding see ur midwife.

  5. I could possibly be sciatic pain.  I've had that since around week 12.  It's sharp pains that hurt your lower back and butt. It can also get into your right leg a lot too.  Personally, it went away a little around 20-25 weeks, but it came back.  My dr made a joke and said "The only cure is birth!"  I didn't think it was so funny. :)  That may be it, it might not.  Talk to your dr at your next appt.  Good luck and feel better. :)

  6. I agree sounds like sciatic pain, try having it with twins. Its a result of the pressure of the womb/baby on your hip. Get a maternity belt, they are wonderful, and help relieve the pressure off the hip and when your ligaments in front start stretching. I wouldn't of made it through this pregnancy without it. The cramping is something to keep an eye on, drink plenty of water (anything with fewer than 15 calories in it is considered water intake) take time to sit and rest with your feet up. As always keep your doctor informed of any concerns you have.

  7. I think that maybe your moving to much maybe doing to many things carry things. I think you should ask your doctor.

  8. You should see or ask a qualified professional.
