  1. It's okay, but doesn't really do it for me. I'm more of a Madeline,Madelyn, or Madison fan.

  2. Does sounds wicthy and like the movie Matilda. But i guess theres far worse names.

  3. Does ti mean something to you?

If so, you're better off having it as a middle name, kids can be cruel with old fashionde names.

  4. Unless you are giving birth to an 80 year old witch, I'd say no,no,no.No!!

  5. i dont like it what about melinda, belinda, lamenda

  6. I actually really kinda like Matilda!  For some reason I just really like the way it makes your mouth feel when you say it out loud!  (I know I'm weird :)

    mn suggestions:

    Matilda Kate

    Matilda Marie

    Matilda Eden

    Matilda Charlotte

    Matilda Rose

    Matilda Amaya

    Matilda Claire

    Matilda Alexandra

    Matilda Noelle

    Matilda Brynn

  7. Matilda is very old fashioned. You could call her Mattie which is very cute. Or use it as a middle name with another name you like, maybe like Alexis Matilda or something around those lines.

  8. its nice but it sounds good for a brunette and if she turns out blond or has jet-black hair it would sound weird so I came up with suggestions:

    Maddie

    Madeline

    Desore

    Myra

    Miranda

    Myna

    May

  9. Don't like it. If you like "M's" try

    Maysie

    Mia

    Maya

    Medina

  10. I love the name Matilda! as a little girl I LOVED the movie Matilda! It's such a wonderful name, and I would go for it. And if you like it, then you use it. Don't listen to anyone else ;)

  11. I like it.

  12. I like Matilda Anne!

  13. Don't listen to anybody putting this name down,

i personally think Matilda is a beautiful name.

congratulations, hope she grows up to become a great person

    = )

  14. Love it! It's spunky and old fashioned, and gives you the option of a trendy nickname like Mattie/Maddie, or a different nickname like Tilda or Tillie.

And you know what? I love old-fashioned names. If my baby was a girl, he would have been Daphne. And the comment I hate most about names is that it sounds  like 'an old lady' or 'old man' name. If all goes well, our children will spend the majority of their lives as adults and old people, so why not give them a name that will serve them well throughout life? You can nickname a child a cutesy name, but it's hard to go by a serious version of a cutesy name as a adult.
