  1. Yeah mine liked to play mind games on me too ... had it my whole pregnancy. You know there is a bracelet used to ease up sea sickness but it also works when you are nauseas and stuff. It works with putting pressure on your wrists. It's really weird but it works ... here is a link ... try to look for it near you ... maybe like at a fishing store or that kind of thing near you. LUCK!!!

  2. Normal I dont think any pregnancy is normal. I vomited 20 -30 times a day for 5 months with my first baby. I was hospitalised twice with dehydration. Then second one was not quite as bad but still worse than most women experience and only had to go to the hospital once. I was bedridden and had to be looked after by my mum. (she had it as bad as me).

As for the convention if you really have to go I would take vomit bags in your purse and a face cloth. When you get there scope out the toliets and door for your escape!!!

And yes the all the vomiting is worth it and I would happily do it all over again.

  3. I am having the same problem.  This is my Third pregnancy.  My first two were completely different.  I had extremely mild symptoms that completely abated by the second trimester.  With this pregnancy I'm in week 15 and it's still going strong.  It's funny that they call it morning sickness because It lasts all day long!

  4. Poor girl! I know it's tough, but hang in there...this, too, will pass. I have been pretty sick in my time, but never so sick as I was with morning sickness. I lost 15 pounds in two weeks, and 25 in all while I was in the first months of my pregnancy. Some days I would feel a little better, and then the next week would be spent entirely in bed and in the bathroom. Miserable, but very, very happily not permenant. It is normal. Over 75 percent of women have morning sickness, to one degree or another. It sounds like yours is a higher degree...just keep trying to get those fluids down and DON'T OVER DO IT! You will feel better soon! Congrats on your wee one!

  5. Try ginger.. ginger snaps.. ginger ale.. ginger candy... even their are supplements with ginger... Also you can go to Motherhood Maternity and get some Preggy Pops.. they work great too.... Best advice is to not let yourself get hungry.. keep snacking... all day long... If you get hungry.. you feel sick..  Congratulations and best wishes on your pregnancy..

Oh, I found some smells made me really sick too... so I carried around a fabric softner sheet in a ziplock bag in my purse... when something struck my nose the wrong way... I open up the ziplock and feel a million times better...

Hope I have been a little help... ♥

  6. threenorns is full of it..i've never heard anything more ridiculous in my life. food bourne pathogins? give me a break.

ANYWAY!!! i also wanted to suggest lemon drops (the candy) for some reason that helped me. and they are right when they say just keep snacking ALLLLL day. do NOT let yourself get hungry.

  7. This is my second pregnancy and also much different from the first.  When I feel like I'm going to throw up I take a deep breath and think to myself "I will not throw up."  Throwing up for me is the worst thing!  Make sure you scope out the bathrooms and if its a sitting affair sit in the back.  Don't wonder off too far from the bathrooms.  There was a time not too long ago where I nearly had to leave the room when we were working on a pt but I was able to keep it in.  Everyone would understand if you take off in a hurry.  I hope it gets better for yoU!

  8. Definitely talk to your doctor first but taking 50mg of B6 has been a life saver for me! I didn't know I could take anything for morning sickness with my first but now that I have a 2yr old to care for while being pregnant I don't know what I would've done without B6. I also take half a Unisom at night (a sleep aid) and I guess that also helps with the "morning" sickness. Ask your doctor about it. Good luck!!

  9. ginger is a good idea but make sure you don't eat too much or your baby will be born very hairy (temporarily - it falls out).

smells are also effective - i found lemon and lavender worked the best for me.

never have an empty stomach - always keep crackers or melba toast handy.

avoid fatty and greasy foods - they make it worse.

the good news is, the worse your morning sickness, the lower your chances of miscarriage.  it's your body's way of protecting your baby from food-borne pathogens.
