Question:

Premature Stoppage?

Who here thinks that the Brandon Vera vs. Fabricio Werdum fight was stopped too early? I mean Vera wasn't even hurt and he even stood up as soon as the fight was over. Now I know that the refs are concerned about the fighters safety, but come on that was too early. Any thoughts?

  1. Werdum is a world class jiu jitsu specialist. Vera was doing all he could without risking submission or giving his back. That stoppage sucked. I think Mergliotta or however you spell his name is a crappy version of Big John. Vera wasn't hurt at all. By the way Mergliotta's stoppage in the Kimbo fight was BS also. If he didn't stop the fight while Kimbo was being pounded on for nearly an entire round then how can you stop a fight were Brandon wasn't hurt and had 15 seconds left. I think Werdum and big dummy had some sort of agreement before hand.

  2. it was way to early he was defending himself and everything its just the ref thinking to himself oh **** hes down
