Premature shutting off

Iron works OK for 1 minute, " auto" light flickers and iron cools off.I have Rowenta mod. # DG 050.90.54.1.00, 1858.60. When I plug it in, the light comes on when the iron is hot and it works fine. I am aware of the auto shut off and how it works but when mine shuts off, moving it won't activate it again. I have to unplug it and plug it in again to get it to heat back up. It is very annoying when working on quilt blocks where I press seams and blocks frequently.
