The 19-year-old’s tremendous display of talent at the Dolphins has made him a hot target for clubs all around Europe, while previously it was believed that he will either join Juventus or stay at his current club.
Daniele Delli Carri stated that there are several outfits that have lead over the Old Lady in the race to signing Verratti, and revealed that the front-runners include their rivals AC Milan.
The Biancazzurri sporting director abstained from naming the other interested parties, but revealed that the interest in the playmaker is not limited to Italian clubs.
The Dolphins chief stated that clubs from English Premier League, German Bundesliga, and Spain’s La Liga are also enquiring about the midfielder. He added that Juventus wanted to sign the teen playmaker, but the last contact from
them was two months ago, and a lot has happened since then.
While talking to Tuttojuve.com, the former Fiorentina defender said:
“There are several clubs ahead of Juventus, including Milan. I don’t want to name the other sides, but there are some foreign ones too from the Premier League, Liga and Bundesliga. The Bianconeri want to sign the player, but the
last approach from them was two months ago. There haven’t been any other calls since then.”
Juventus’ interest in Marco Verratti is equally reciprocated by the player himself.
Delli Carri revealed that the Delfini midfielder has always remarked that he is a Juventus supporter, and stated that the player’s intentions will be taken into account while making a decision about his future.
The Dolphins chief believed that Verratti is not a 28-year-old player who can afford to turn down big clubs to join the Bianconeri. The executive stated that the midfielder is still a teen, and highlighted the fact that Pescara
are not keen to let go of their ace.
