Premier League news: Aleksandar Kolarov to join Manchester City while Jack Wilshere part of Wenger’s plans

Italian Giants Lazio expect Aleksandar Kolarov to join Manchester City in the coming days, as the terms and conditions for the transfer of the player have been completed. City are reportedly willing to play 20 million euros for the full back, and will be their fourth signing of the season.
Spanish heavyweights Real Madrid were reportedly interested in the 24 year old, but Lazio confirmed that the Serbian is most likely heading to the Premier League. The defender has made over 82 appearances for the club, and hugely impressed in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The full back has won over 15 caps for his side, and played a phenomenal role when Serbia defeated heavy weights Germany in the group stages. Serbia however failed to make into the Round of 16, after failing to defeat Australia.
The sporting director for the club, Igli Tare stated that Kolarov’s signing for City is no problem at all. The director added that Lazio has done its part of the deal, and is expecting further developments from City in the near future.
Tare was happy with the deal going through, and claimed that the 20 million figure was not all that important. The director gave more importance to the willingness of both parties, and was delighted with the fact that the deal will go through, without much complications.
In other news, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger expects Jack Wilshere to start regularly for Arsenal next season, and therefore is likely to stay at the club rather than spending another term on loan.
The midfielder played the last season at Bolton Wanderers, when he was loaned out during the winter transfer window. He was impressive, as he took the command at the centre and controlled the play.
The 18 year olds performance has perhaps earned himself a spot in the Arsenal’s squad. Bolton has tried signing the player earlier in the summer, but Wenger is not going to let go of the teenage sensation.  Wilshere was part of Arsenal’s squad in a pre-season match, when the Gunners played Sturm Graz.
Arsenal won 3-0, and Wilshere played quite good. Wenger was happy with the performance and stated that he wanted the player to gain experience and skill at his current club, Arsenal. Wenger promised that he will give the 18 year old time to play in the first team. This signifies that Jack will play for Arsenal in the new season.
Wenger added that he wanted to see the synergy of the 18 year old with the first team, and then perhaps make a decision. The Arsenal manager was however sure that he will want Jack to gain experience with Arsenal.  He praised the player’s ability and added that the player has worked hard and done well.
Wenger however stated that he will not want to create hype around the player, and insisted that Jack needs to keep working hard in order establish himself completely.
Wenger was happy with the English talent he had at the club, and praised the young English player’s ability.
"We do have outstanding English talent at this club, though." , claimed the Gunner’s manager
The manager further added that doors were to remain open for veteran defender Sol Campbell, who rejoined Arsenal for a short term in the second half. Arsenal suffered from injured defenders in the second half of the league, and snapped up the former Arsenal man.
Campbell’s presence was felt, and was solid at the back. The defender’s impressive performances has led to Wenger being interested in offering the centre back a contract, while speculations have also been made about Campbell joining Sunderland as well Celtics.
The 35 year old has made over 140 appearances for Arsenal over his illustrious career, and played a major role in Arsenal success over the years.
