Premier League: Bolton Wanderers vs Arsenal – First Half
Arsenal travelled to Reebok Stadium to take on Bolton Wanderers in a Premier League encounter that was a must win for the Gunners.
Going into the game Arsenal were nine points behind League leaders, Manchester United, and couldn’t settle for anything less than a draw if they were to try and somehow lift the Premier League Crown at the end of the season.
The match kicked off with Arsenal trying to dominate the game early on and in just the 4th minute of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360, but the Frenchman just couldn’t
make it to the ball in time.
In the 6th minute, Paul Robinson took out Walcott and barely made contact with the ball. However, the referee seemed to somehow think otherwise and didn’t stop play.
Cesc Fabregas received a pass from Nasri in the middle of the park and then went on to dance his way towards the Bolton area. He then went on to unleash a brilliant shot that was turned behind for a corner by Jaaskelainen.
In the 24th minute of the game Chung Yung Lee ran clean through towards the Arsenal area after latching on to a long ball. Instead of taking a pop at goal himself, he decided to play an outrageous flick towards Matty Taylor. That flick was all
Arsenal needed to secure their lines and get the ball away to safety.

from hitting the back of the net.
In the 38th minute a corner was whipped into the Arsenal area. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 headed the ball goal-wards only to see Nasri block the ball.
However, the midfielders defensive attempt saw the ball fall into the path of Sturridge, who head-butted the ball into the back of the net to give Bolton the lead.
In the 44th minute just before the end of the half, Fabregas tried from a distance again, only to see his effort come off the woodwork.
Soon after both sides headed into half-time break, ready to regroup and speak to managers.
