Bolton Wanderers vs Arsenal – Second Half: Premier League Full Time Report
As the second half started, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076 in the Arsenal area and as a result Bolton had a penalty kick early on.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Davies-c20716 stepped up to take the spot kick, however Szczesny managed to make a brilliant save with his legs and keep Arsenal in the game.
In the 48th minute, on the break from the missed penalty by Bolton, van Persie and Fabregas played a slick one-two, before placing a fine shot that sailed past Jaaskelainen and landed into the back of the net. As a result, the Dutchman managed
to nab his 17th goal in his last 17 games.
In the 70th minute, Nasri came close to giving Arsenal the lead. First the attackers effort on goal was denied by Jaaskelainen and his next effort was saved by a miraculous diving effort by Zack Knight. The defender somehow managed to dive in
front of the trajectory of the ball and kept it out using his chest.
However, just when it looked like Arsenal would be playing out another draw, they were given a shocker. Thanks to some poor defending by the Gunners, Cohen was able to find the back of the net via his head. After conceding a free-kick, it seemed like players
on the Arsenal squad wanted to defend and as a result, all Cohen really had to do was rise up and knock the ball into the back of the net beyond Szczesny.
As a result of that effort, Arsenal lost by two goals to one and were virtually out of the title race for good. The team was now sitting on 64 points in the third spot of the table, while Manchester United were sitting on top with 73 points credited to their
name.
The line-ups for the game were the following:

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Walcott, Fabregas, Nasri, van Persie. Subs: Lehmann, Ramsey, Squillaci, Arshavin, Eboue, Gibbs, Chamakh
Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-Davies-c24112, Klasnic, Moreno, Cohen, Wheater
