Premier League Full Time Report: Everton 2 – 1 Manchester City – Part 2

mark.
In the 51st minute, City came very close to doubling their lead in the game. Silva attacked the Toffees on the counter and went on to slip Yaya Toure another brilliant through ball.
The Ivorian international was one on one with Howard but the keeper went on to spread himself and prevented Toure from doubling City’s lead in the game.
In the 51st minute, Aleksander Kolorav went on to curl in a brilliant free-kick. The free-kick went on to find Dzeko, whose header was destined for the top left corner of the goal.
However, once again Howard managed to produce a magical save as he tipped the ball just over the crossbar and kept his side in the game.
Following these fine saves from Howard, Everton finally started to get themselves back in the game. Their new found spirit led them to scoring the equalizing goal of the game.
Arteta went on to bend in a brilliant cross into the City 18-yard box and Distin managed to head an unstoppable effort into the back of the net, beyond Hart, in the 66th minute.
Everton then went on to shock almost everyone watching the game, scoring their second goal of the game.
Philip Neville sailed forward and bent in another fine cross. Osman, of all people, went to fly onto the ball and headed it into the top left corner of the goal in the 71st minute of the game. As a result, the Toffees got a 1 goal lead over City.
Soon after their second goal, Everton was controlling the proceedings of the game.
Both sides tried to score another goal before the final whistle but neither was successful at doing so. As a result, Everton went on to pick up a surprise 2-1 win over City and grabbed all 3 points from the game.
