Premier League Full Time Report: Fulham vs http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 – Part 1
Liverpool travelled to Cravan Cottage to take on Fulham, in both the teams 36th game of the Premier League season. The game was a must win for Liverpool, in order to keep their hopes of qualifying for Europe, alive. On the other hand, a win for Fulham in the game, was going to see them jump to the 8th spot in the league standings and all but ensure the team finishing in the top half of the league.
For Fulham, both Clint Dempsey and Brede Hangeland made their returns to the starting eleven, after having missed the game against Sunderland this past Saturday. On the other hand, for Liverpool Luis Suarez and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dirk-Kuyt-c11348 were going to be playing up-front, while Andy Carroll didn’t even mange to make the bench for the game.
Both teams eventually took to the team, with Fulham fielding their traditional white strip and Liverpool taking to the pitch in their Red jerseys.
Liverpool looked to apply some pressure on Fulham right from the kick-off and managed to do just that. After having played just one minute of football, Liverpool got on the score sheet with none other than Maxi Rodriguez scoring for the Reds. The ball went on to take a wicked deflection and Mark Schwarzer did his best to clear the ball. However, unfortunately for the keeper his effort at keeping the ball out only helped in playing Rodriquez on, who fired home his shot and got Liverpool a very early lead. After the goal having been scored, it was then confirmed that the Reds goal was clocked in at just thirty one seconds, making it the quickest goal of the Premier League season, this term.
In the 3rd minute of the game, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528 with a poorly-timed tackle. As a result, the player was shown a yellow card from the referee.
