The second-half of the game kicked off with Fulham looking to bring on Bobby http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zamora-c40983 for Davies. The change showed the intent from Hughes, who was looking to get his team to go all out and try and get something out of the game.
In the 48th minute of the game, Meireles went on to tweak his hamstring and had to eventually get replaced by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonjo-Shelvey-c19081.
In the 49th minute, Fulham started to turn the heat up, as they went on to create two clear cut chances in quick succession. First second-half sub, Zamora went on to test Reina with a fine header and then on the follow up, Dempsey came awfully
close, but saw his effort sail over the post.
In the 50th minute, Fulham had another chance to get something on the score sheet. Gudjohnsen had a good opportunity to shoot at the Liverpool goal, but eventually ended up dragging his effort well wide of the mark.
In the 57th minute, the new found attacking sense from Fulham eventually paid off, as they finally managed to score their first goal of the game. Zamora received the ball with his back to goal and then went on to lay the ball off to Dembele. The
Belgian international then went on to side foot the ball into the back of the net and as a result, gave Fulham some hope of a late revival in the game.
Following the aftermath of the goal, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672 was shown a yellow card for not being to keen to give the ball back to Fulham. It also needs to be said that, the display from Reina following the goal was rather childish and seemed almost uncharacteristic
to the keeper’s standards.
In the 61st minute of the game, Salcido went on to take down Suarez with a late lunge and was shown a yellow for the challenge.
