Premier League Full Time Report: Manchester City vs Stoke City – Part 3
At the end of the forty five, the referee added one minute of extra time, which eventually ended with City leading at the break by one goal to nil. There was a lot of work for Stoke to do in the second half, if they were to find any way of coming back in
the second half of the game.
After the break, City looked to go at it from the very first minute. The home-side looked threatening and were putting more than a couple of decent passes together.
After a lot of build up, the Citizens managed to find the back of the net for the second time on the 53rd minute mark. Lescott was the player to get the goal on the board from the team, after heading a fine effort into the back of the net. Silva
lofted a cross into the area and the defender leaped the highest to reach the ball before any opposing defenders.
In the 58th minute, City came awfully close once again. Collins managed to miss the ball completely and played on Eden Dzeko. The Bosnian then went on to find himself in a one-on-one situation with the Stoke keeper, however the towering striker
somehow managed to miss his shot and as a result, the keeper gathered the ball with ease.
In the 64th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez was the player to step up to the plate and try his luck from the dead ball situation. The man of the hour, Tevez made no mistake
as he went on unleash a screamer that thumped into the top right corner of the goal. As a result, City were now cursing in the game, having scored three goals.
