The first goal of the game came at 26 minutes, when a cross from the left-hand side reached Kuyt. The Dutch player managed two brilliant shots on target and it took two brilliant saves from Howard to keep him out. However, on the
second save, the ball found Meireles on the edge of the box and the player unleashed a spectacular shot into the top of the net. The whole arena exploded with joy as Dalglish was seen celebrating with his arms raised high on the sidelines. Torres kept on going
and called Howard into action, who managed a brilliant save. The rebound was well collected by Argentinean Maxi Rodriguez, but the player couldn’t control his shot.
The ill-looking centre-back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715 found Distin

minute, when goalkeeper Howard brought Rodriguez down inside the box. The referee had no questions about that and pointed towards the penalty spot. Kuyt stepped up to take the kick and managed a powerful finish to his left. Howard went the wrong way and
the scores were level.
The draw means that Everton and Liverpool are level in terms of points but Everton are above them owing to superior goal difference. There were many positives to take from this draw for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 as the side showed glimpses of
its threatening self and it would only be a matter of time now before Liverpool gains their top-four position back.
