Premier League Goal Summary: Bolton Wanderers vs Newcastle United
Bolton Wanderers played host to Newcastle United, as they looked to try and claim some points which would help them climb out of the relegation zone. Following a harsh battle between the two sides, Newcastle United went on to score two goals in the game,
as they picked up all three points from the game.
Newcastle had suffered a dip in form in recent weeks and the team looked to pick the pace back up and try and secure a spot in the top six.

The first half saw Newcastle bombard the Bolton goal for the first forty five minutes. However, despite the team’s best efforts, they just couldn’t seem to find the back of the net and headed into the half time break wondering just what they were doing wrong.
The second half kicked off with Bolton creating a chance early on, but then fading into the game once again.
In the 69th minute, Ben Arfa took matters into his own hands and despite coming in as a substitute, he scored the opening goal of the game.
Eagles lost possession of the ball to Gutierrez, who played the ball to Ryan Taylor on the wing. The full-back then whipped in a cross towards Ben Arfa, who connected cleanly with the ball and sent it crashing into the goal from some ten yards out.
Demba Ba decided to join in on the fun, as the striker scored the second goal of the game in the 71st minute. Obertan made a run down the flank, before crossing the ball towards the striker. Ba then went on to meet the flight of the ball ahead
of Cahill and knocked the ball over the line from some four yards out.
As a result, the match ended with Newcastle taking all three points from the game, thanks to the two goals that they scored in two minutes.
This result saw Newcastle remain in the 7th spot, while Bolton were sitting just one point above the bottom of the table.
