Premier League Goal Summary: Chelsea vs Swansea City
Chelsea played host to Swansea at the Stamford Bridge, in a game that was going to be a real test for the new boys in the Premier League.
The Blues were doing quite well in the league and hence Swansea had a colossus task on their hands, s they headed to the Blues home to take them on.
The match saw http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 take the game to Swansea and despite being dropped to ten men, the Blues emerged as the winners at the end of the night.
The first goal of the game in the 29th minute and was scored by none other than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707. Mata went in to produce some fine skills on the edge of the Swansea area and then lofted a pass towards Torres. The striker then controlled the ball
brilliantly and smacked a shot into the goal.
In the 36th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 helped the Blues double their lead and apply the pressure on Swansea. Cole sent in a brilliant cross towards a good area and Ramires ran onto the ball, before smacking an effort past Vorm and into the net.
In the 40th minute of the game, Torres went from hero to zero once again, as he was shown a red card for a very reckless two footed tackle.
In the 77th minute, Ramires went on to double his tally in the game as he made it three goals to nil in Chelsea’s favour. The midfielder danced pass a defender before cutting into the area. He then went on to drill a low effort into the goal and
leaving Vorm with no chance of keeping the ball out.
In the 86th minute, Swansea had a set piece in the Chelsea half and after a brilliantly taken free kick found its way into the Chelsea area, Williams headed the ball into the Chelsea goal.
Right before the end of the end of the game, Chelsea’s returning hero Drogba scored the fourth and final goal for the team. The striker received a pass from Malouda and then created some space in the area, before forcing the ball into the goal, well beyond
Vorm.
As a result, the game ended with the final score reading four goals to one in Chelsea’s favour.
