Premier League Goal Summary: Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Manchester City played host to Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League, as the team looked to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The two sides had previously met in the Carling Cup where City went on to win by five goals to two. As a result, they were looking to be the more confident side, as they knew they could beat their opponents, having already done so previously.
The match kicked off with City taking the game to Wolves. The home side took the game to the visitors but just couldn’t find that cutting edge in front of the goal in the first half of the game.
In the 52nd, all of that changed, as City scored their first goal of the game. Henessey failed to clear a back pass and was dispossessed by Aguero, who played on Dzeko, as he found the back of the net with a simple tap in.
In the 66th minute, City double their lead, as Kolarov scored the second goal of the game for the home side. Silva took a pop at goal, by the keeper spilled the ball back into play. Kolarov, who made a surging run forward, managed to get to the
ball before everyone else, as he slotted it home.
In the 74th minute Kompany took out Doyle in the penalty area and saw a red card for his efforts, as the referee pointed to the spot.
Hunt stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and went on to score with a fine finish.

As a result, the game ended with the final score reading three goals to one in favour of City.
