Premier League Goal Summary: Newcastle United 2 vs 3 West Bromwich Albion
Newcastle United played host to West Bromwich Albion, as the team looked to get back into the top four and try and ensure a spot in the Champions League. Despite Newcastle having a better season as compared to West Brom, they couldn’t contain the visitors,
who won by three goals to two in the end.
Going into the game, the only thing on everyones mind was how Odemwingie would perform, given him coming forth and stating that he was going to prove his worth to the club, on the pitch.
At the same time, Demba Ba was looking to maintain his goal scoring form, as he was trying to gain some recognition, while helping Newcastle finish as high as they possibly could.
The first goal of the game came in the 21st minute and it was scored by Odemwingie. Brunt went on to play a killer pass to the striker, who shifted the ball to the side, before sending an effort into the back of the net.

on the ball.
Before the end of the half, West Brom went on to reclaim their one goal lead, as McAuley scored for the visitors. Scharner flicked the ball towards McAuley, who nodded the ball into the back of an empty net.
Late on in the game, with just ten minutes left, Demba Ba once again managed to get his name on the score sheet. The striker chested down a ball and then beat Olsson before sending the ball crashing into the back of the net.
Nonetheless, things just weren’t playing out in Newcastle’s favour, as the team went on to concede another goal in the 85th minute. Long beat Coloccini with his pace and then sent a cross towards Odemwingie. The striker headed the ball towards
Scharner, who tapped it over the line to claim all three points for his side.
