With Manchester City having won their game, the pressure was on Untied to go on and maintain the pressure on the league leaders, as they were looking for the team to slip up.

However, in the 84th minute Norwich finally broke through the United defence and equalized. Grant Holt controlled a pass from Whitbread and then went on to smack the ball into the back of the net with his left foot.
Just when it looked like the match would end as a draw, Giggs went on to score the match winner in the 92nd minute. Ashley Young crossed the ball to the far post and Giggs went on to prod the ball into the far corner of the goal.
As a result, United won the game by two goals to one and took all three points from the game.
