Premier League Goal Summary: Queens Park Rangers vs Sunderland
Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 hosted Sunderland in the Premier League, as both the teams looked to get as far above the bottom three as they possibly could. Despite both the sides getting into the game, Sunderland went on to pick up all three points, thanks to a very
late Wes Brown goal.
Going into the game, Sunderland were aware of the fact that a win would see them climb above QPR and put them in the 15th spot in the league table, as a result, the team was looking to go all out in their game, in hopes of closing in on the top
half of the table.
Sunderland went on to open the scoring in the 20th minute, as Bendtner went on to score the opening goal of the game. Larsson whipped in a curling cross and the Dane met the delivery of the ball as he guided it into the back of the net.
The visitors then doubled their lead in the 54th minute, as Sessegnon scored for Sunderland. A long ball was played towards the midfielder, who beat his marker, before tucking the ball into the back of an empty net.
QPR went on to spur a comeback in the 63rd minute, as Helguson scored for the home side. Faurlin ran forward and then crossed the ball towards Helguson, who sent the ball over the line and into the back of the net.
Four minutes later, QPR managed to level things in the game. Faurlin once again lifted a ball towards Helguson, who went on to flick the ball across the face of the game. Mackie then met the ball and sent his effort into the back of the net.
Just when it looked like the game would end in as a draw, Wes Brown went on to score the match winner in the 88th minute. Gardner whipped in a cross and the defender rose to meet the ball, as he flicked his effort into the back of the net.
As a result of that very late goal, Sunderland claimed all three points, as QPR lost another game in the Premier League.
