Premier League Goal Summary: West Bromwich Albion vs Wigan Athletic
West Bromwich Albion played host to Wigan Athletic in a Premier League fixture, which was turning out to be a battle between the two sides, as they looked to avoid being dropped into the relegation zone.
Wigan had gone on to produce a series of good results in recent weeks, while West Brom seemed to finally be picking up their pace.
Both the managers seemed more than convinced that their sides would be able to pick up the three points, as they headed into the game.
Nonetheless, most experts went on to predict that the game was going to end in a draw considering the poor fire power that both the teams possessed.
The first goal of the game came in the 33rd minute, as Stephen Reid scored the first goal of the game.
The Ireland international found the ball at his feet inside the Wigan area and didn’t spend much time thinking on what to do next. The player went on to open his body, as he whipped in a curling effort, which sailed into the top left corner of the goal.

Wigan didn’t take long to get back into the game as four minutes later, they found themselves level with West Brom.

As a result, both the teams were now level at one goal apiece.
In the 56th minute, Moses was taken out by Steven Reid in the area and the keeper didn’t hesitate as he pointed straight to the spot.
