Premier League Gossip: Everything's happening at United and Newcastle’s Andy Carroll pens new deal
Wes Brown, the out of favour defender at Manchester United, might have just managed to see the last of his days as a United player.
According to The Sun, the player embarked on a screaming row with the team’s manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. However the player and the manager didn't have the heated discussion about anything that was remotely related to football;
in fact it involved a night out with the team.
Brown was apparently asked to not participate or rather was forbidden to participate in a team trip out on the town, which resulted in both the manager and the player exchanging heated words at the top of their lungs.
Most people might think that it's a rather weird thing for someone to have a bust up with their manager over - nonetheless it has happened and as a direct result the player now fears that he might be on his way out of Old Trafford once the transfer window
opens again in January.
At the same time, Manchester United have gone ahead and stated that their misfiring striker, Wayne Rooney, is not for sale. It was earlier assumed that the team were willing to let go of their prized possession after Rooney
had a rather poor start to the season and seemed to be going on a downward hill. However, despite suffering a loss which amounts to more than eighty million pounds, the team has stated that Rooney is not for sale and most probably never will be.
Sticking with Manchester United once again, the team’s veteran shot stopper Edwin van der Sar has stated that he is no longer so sure about when he wants to retire. In fact the player now claims that he just might have a
season or two more left in him; which can only mean good news for Manchester United, who can put their search for a replacement on hold for now so that they can deal with other more important issues at the club.
Lastly, Newcastle United’s striking sensation, Andy Carroll, seems to have put pen to paper on a new contract at Newcastle which would see the player be a part of the team for another couple of years. This news came shortly
after it was revealed that the player had not made the cut for the English national side this time around.
