Premier League Gossip: Owen to Villa, United and Chelsea chasing kids
Gerard Houllier, the newly appointed Aston Villa manager, has set his sights on Michael Owen and wished to bring the player to Villa Park as soon as possible. The manager is expected to either make a loan bid for the player as early as next week, or try and sign the player on a permanent basis in January.
Manchester United are looking to sign another Portuguese wonder kid. The team has already bought its fair share of players from the region, the most notable one being Cristiano Ronaldo. However the team is expecting to have the same results with their latest target. The player that Alex Ferguson has set his sights on is Wilson Eduardo, who is employed by Sporting Lisbon at the moment. Eduardo is a natural striker, however considering he is only twenty years old, he could quite possibly adapt to any position that he is asked to play in.
Chelsea are looking to buy a young player of their own. The team is currently keeping close tabs on Iberian youngster Juamni who plays for Malaga. The player is currently only seventeen years old but has caught the eyes of numerous teams including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Juamni is apparently the youngest player to ever score in the Primera Liga  and just penned a new five year contract with the club. However Chelsea are willing to match the eight million buyout clause that the player has intact and will be looking to land their player as soon as possible.
The kid apparently is the youngest ever player to score two in the Primera Liga earlier this season, and despite him only just signing a new five-year contract with an £8million buy-out clause, Chelsea are still interested.
Steve McClaren is currently having a very hard time managing Wolfsburg. The manager has lost all three of the teams games so far and the teams officials have already started panicking apparently.

The Wolfsburg Managing director Dieter Hoeness is quoted in The Sun as saying: "I won't get the hammer out and start smashing things. The situation isn't critical."
Steve McClaren is going to need to get his act together otherwise it won’t be long before the manager is fired from yet another team.
Tim Wiese, the Werder Bremen keeper, responded to being compared to Jens Lehmann by saying:"He [Lehmann] belongs in the Muppet Show, on the couch or in a mental institution."
Paul Scholes has gone ahead and said, that he has no desire to retire any time soon. The midfielder was rumoured to be wanting to retire from United at the end of the season, considering he is nearing his mid thirties now, however the player responded to those rumours by saying that he would continue to play the beautiful sport for as long as he can.
Didier Drogba has vowed to retain his Golden Boot award this season. The player won the prestigious award in the last game of the season last time around, however he wishes to win the title in emphatic fashion this time around. Considering he already has four goals to his name it isn’t hard to believe that the player is capable of doing exactly what he has promised to do.
