Premier League Gossip - Real Madrid want Gareth Bale
Despite the fact that the transfer window has now officially been closed, it does not mean that the gossip that is associated with the leagues and the players would seem to halt. As the season progresses more and more news and rumours are expected to surface regarding the deals that could have taken place, will take place or just could not and can never take place. Here is a look at some of the new rumours that have come afloat regarding the English Premier League.
Gareth Bale was by far Tottenham's best performer last season. The player was phenomenal and amazing to watch. The team could not determine any one position for the player, so they just had him play all along the left side of the pitch. This meant that the player played as a left back, left midfielder, left winger and left striker last season. It is also notable to mention that Bale is one of the very few players who is capable of pulling off such a feat.
Bale was however subjected to a transfer on the deadline day of the transfer window. Rumours started to float in regarding the player’s move. It was believed that one really big club had made a move for the player but rather unsuccessfully.
It was largely unknown as to what team had made that bid until only recently. According to The Sunday Mirror, they happen to know the name of that big club that made the bid for the player.
The team that the paper claims has made a bid for the player is none other than, Real Madrid.
The paper reports: 'Real coach Jose Mourinho sees Bale's pace and power as an asset - and they are likely to be back in the New Year.'
Madrid do not like taking “NO” for an answer and almost always land their man. This could potentially be bad news for Tottenham who seem to be overly relying on the player. If the player was to leave then the team might just be missing the 'X” factor that has seen them perform the way they have so far this season.
Bale is currently one of the under 21's at the club which means he is an easy addition to the squad without him officially being mentioned on the squad list due to his age.
His ability to read the game and dictate the play for the team is something, the manager and the team have heavily relied on and if it was to be taken away, then the team will greatly suffer.
Bale however could just have the move that could make or break his career. Real Madrid are a team that is reputed to make all their players house hold names, that could be the case with Gareth Bale considering he keeps performing the way he is right now.
Many players have lost their ways after making a move to the Spanish Giants. If Bale was to follow down that same road then his blossoming career could be over before it ever got the chance to fully shine in the open.
This move will also largely be dependent on whether on not Jose Mourinho wants to sign the player in January.
