Premier League Gossip – Redknapp eying http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wes-Brown-c36791, Madrid in for Adebayor
Tottenham’s manager, Harry Redknapp seems to more than just determined in bringing big names to the White Hart Lane this transfer window. The manager is apparently looking to make a move to his interest at Old Trafford, having apparently missed out on the
opportunities to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Neville-c29904.
Tottenham have now been named as one of the six teams to have made enquiries for United defender Wes Brown. Brown is reported to be made available this transfer window and Redknapp is determined to bring the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international and all his experience to
the White Hart Lane.
The only reason that Redknapp has made a formal enquiry for Brown is because Everton have rejected Tottenham’s bid for Phil Neville. As a result the manager, who is bound to strengthen up his backline, is looking to pursue Brown who has proven to be a rather
good defender with ample experience over the course of last few seasons.
Tottenham, who were also reported to be in the race for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 are now facing some stiff competition from Spanish giants, Real Madrid in this regard.
Adebayor, who has made it no secret that he wants out of City, is looking to ward off attempts by almost every other team if he can secure a move to Madrid.
Jose Mourinho had previously gone on to state that he was not going to make any signings this transfer window, but the fact that Gonzalo Higuain has now been ruled out for the rest of the season, has left the manager to think otherwise.
Mourinho has been a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old striker, and although having the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350 in his ranks, is said to make a move for the former Arsenal striker. This is due to the fact that Mourinho has in the past stated that despite
having Benzema in his team, he doesn’t really trust him to provide world class performances week in and week out.
