Pepe Reina out of Liverpool, Gervinho to Aston Villa – Premier League Gossip
Pepe Reina not in love with Liverpool
Following speculation that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-Reina-c29672 might be on his way out of Liverpool, the keeper has gone on to further exploit the situation by stating that he is not in eternal love with the club.
The keeper is reported to have said, "I can't say much because I have a contract with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. But eternal love doesn't exist. No one is master of his own destiny. When a player is at club he has to give everything - that is all you can ask of him"
The keeper’s current contract is set to run out in 2016 with the team, but he still has a buy-out clause set in his contract which is set at 20-million pounds. Based on that, the player has been linked with serious moves to either Manchester United or Arsenal
at the end of the season.
When asked if he was going to run his contract out at Anfield, the keeper responded by saying, "But I would never say 'I'm never going,' because even I don't know that. It depends on how this season finishes, on how competitive we can be."
These comments by the keeper have done nothing but throw his future at Anfield in even more doubt than it was initially.
At the same time it is also being reported that Liverpool have gone on to line-up Blackburn Rovers’ keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Robinson-c29389 as a potential replacement for Reina if he does decide to switch teams at the end of the season.
Aston Villa looking to land http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gervinho-c14755
Aston Villa are being heavily linked with Lille’s highly talented forward and Ivory Coast International, Gervinho.
It is being reported that Villa’s manager, Gerard Houllier had been tracking the progress and ability of the player for over six months and feels that he has seen enough to make a move for the player. This is because a number of other clubs have also started
to show some serious interest in the player and Villa feel they need to land the player before anyone else.
Lille have also gone on to admit that a number of clubs have shown serious interest in the player and even went on to enquire about him. Those teams include the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle United. The player is currently in hold of a rather
impressive goal scoring record, of scoring a goal every other game and for that very reason his current market value is set at fifteen million pounds.
