Premier League Gossip: Tottenham and Chelsea looking to sign defenders, life gets hard for Reo-Coker

Tottenham’s manager, Harry Redknapp has decided that the teams back line is as good as planted tree stumps and as a result the manager is now looking to sign another centre back. The player that the manager is looking to sign is South African international,
Bongani Khumalo.
Khumalo currently plays for SuperSport United in South Africa and is the captain of the side. However the club would relish the opportunity to see one of their players join a team in the English Premier League. Tottenham are currently
scheduled to make a move for the player in the January transfer window, having already agreed personal terms with both the player and the club.
Chelsea, who are the current reigning Champions of England and on top of the leader board in the English Premier League are looking to make a move for another side back.
The team however is not going to go ahead and sign a well known or famous defender, but instead are opting to sign a rather unknown player. The player that Carlo Ancelotti has targeted is Croatia’s captain Darijo Srna. The team is scheduled
to make an official move for the player as early as January.
The players contract is set to expire in the summers, so instead of letting their player of away for free, Shakthar Donetsk are looking to make some profit off, of his sale by letting his go for cheap in January.
The next Manchester United player to be in line to receive a new contract is the teams utility player, John O’Shea.
According to a press release: John O’Shea is currently being offered a revamped contract worth eighty thousand pounds a week as part of a four year deal, despite being such a great sum, it appears to be mere peanuts compared to Patrice
Evra’s hundred thousand a week and Wayne Rooney’s two hundred and fifty thousand pounds a week wages.
It might come as a shock to some to see the likes of O’Shea receive as much as eighty thousand pounds. The player despite being able to play in almost any position just isn’t worth that much of money according to most experts. However
it seems as though United have been given a giant scare thanks to one Wayne Rooney and are now afraid to not meet their players demands.
Now Nigel Reo-Coker is looking to sign a new deal with Aston Villa. However the deal won’t happen to be as plain and simple as the player would have hoped for. The Villa manager has insisted that he wishes to retain the player, but at
the same time he doesn’t want to cut him a deal, that would allow him room to slack off in.
