Premier League Gossip: United in for another keeper, Kranjcar not keen on Spurs
Manchester United are rumoured to be stepping up on their efforts to sign Danish international, Anders Lindegaard. This is because, the United goal keeping coach, went out to watch the keeper perform for the fifth time. Which would only indicate that United
are now more than serious at luring the keeper to Old Trafford.
According to a media source: 'Steele has also been to see Atletico Madrid's David de Gea in recent weeks but United are understood to have made preliminary contact with Aalesunds and the Norwegians are expecting a bid.'
However things aren’t expected to be all smooth and easy for United as Bayern Munich are also expected to try and capture the player in the coming weeks along with Inter Milan.
United however aren’t short on targets as it seems, if they lose out on the Danish keeper they have numerous other options, according to a media source the other options that United has are, as follows: 'Lyon's France international Hugo Lloris, the CSKA Moscow
goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and Germany youngster Manuel Neuer have also been watched by United in recent months, while Algeria's World Cup goalkeeper Rais M'Bolhi spent a week on trial at Old Trafford last season'
United are bound to sign at least one goal keeper in January. This is because the team feels that Edwin Van Der Sar’s time at the club is nearing an end as the time passes and they need a future replacement as soon as possible so that, Van Der Sar can provide
the newer keeper with some guide lines and tips for the future.
United, have almost always been successful when it has come to finding a goal keeper and they are hoping to repeat that same success this time around as well, the team is bound to bring in one goal keeper, along with a midfielder in January and now it’s
just a matter of waiting to see who the club brings in.
Niko Kranjcar, who was once Tottenham’s saviour and hero has admitted that he might just have to leave the team as a direct result of not seeing much field time The Croatian has not started a match for the team so far this season and has been brought on
as a substitute on six occasions. This is despite the fact that he was a first choice for the team till last season.
The news that the player wants out, seems to have travelled around fast as two Premier League sides and Monaco have shown interest in signing the player in the future.
Kranjcar would be more than just a worth addition to any side, the player is an old school midfielder, who likes to stay on the ball and create space for his team. He has more than just decent passing and can take a lethal shot when given the opportunity.
Kranjcar is also quite deadly from the dead ball situation and has no problem of playing as either a central or a side midfielder.
With the news players brought into the Tottenham side, it seems as though the best option that the player has, is to leave the club in hopes of finding more field time, which would benefit him significantly on a personal level.
