The second half saw Chelsea get off to a bright start, as the team went on to create some early chances in the game. However, despite their best efforts, they just couldn’t seem to find a way past the keeper.
Soon after, Blackburn finally started to get their act together and mustered a few chances of their own.
In the 59th minute of the game, Blackburn went on to get a goal back, as they looked to try and pick up some points from their last game of the season.
Pedersen whipped in a corner, which was met by Dann. However, his goal bound header was then put over the line by Yakubu, who went on to claim the goal as his own in the end.
As the match progressed, Chelsea managed to pull themselves together and finally got back to the way they were playing earlier on.
In the 60th minute, Ramires came close to scoring, but his effort went on to bounce of the wood work.
In the 74th minute, Sturridge came close to scoring as well, but the forward sent his effort well wide of the mark.

As a result, Chelsea finished outside the top four and Blackburn were sent back to the Championship, where they would look to try and build their squad and come back to the Premier league stronger then before.
