Premier League Match Report: Chelsea vs Everton – Part 2
Following the break, both teams stepped back onto the pitch, with two completely different mind sets. Chelsea were looking to maintain their form and keep hold of their lead in the game, while Everton were looking to try and get back in the game somehow,
in order to try and salvage at least a point from the game.
As the second half progressed, Chelsea were once again in control of the game, with Everton looking a little tardy for some odd reason.
In the 61st minute, Drogba got into the game and played a diagonal ball towards Mata. Mata then darted forward and played a low ball across the face of the goal. Ramires was the quickest player to react to the pass and went on to turn the ball
over the line and scored the third goal of the game for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Following the third goal, Chelsea continued to dominate, but this time around seemed to be more contained with just keeping hold of the ball instead of constantly going forward and attacking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043’s goal.
In the 81st minute, Drenthe managed to catch the Chelsea backline off guard and played is a low ball across the goal. Vellios, who came on in the second half as a substitute went on to tap the ball into the back of the net with his very first
touch of the game.
Nonetheless, the goal scored by Vellios was nothing more than a consolation; as Chelsea went on to pick up all three points from the game. Everton on the other hand needed to do a lot before their next game, because the team seemed to be well off their pace
in the game.
