Chelsea played host to Liverpool, as the Blues looked to keep Manchester United in range, as they hoped to overtake them and climb to the top of the Premier League table in the near future.
Given the way Chelsea had been playing in recent weeks, and with Liverpool not having the best run, it seemed like the Blues might just be able to claim all three points from the game.
Chelsea opened the game by looking to be the far more dominant side in the match. Based on their early dominance it didn’t take long for them to score the opening goal of the game.

Both Suarez and Enrique had great chances of winning the game for the Reds, but unfortunately for them and for Liverpool, they failed to find the back of the net.
As a result, the match went on to end as a one all draw between the two teams, as they shared the points this time around.
