Premier League Match Report: Chelsea vs Norwich – Part 1
Chelsea played host to newbies Norwich at the Stamford Bridge. The Blues were looking to utilize their new signings in the game, as both Lukaku and Mata were starting from the bench. On the other hand, Norwich were looking to try and beat the odds at get
something out of the Blues at the Stamford Bridge, in order to prove their worth and to make a name for themselves in the League.
The match kicked off with Chelsea taking the game to Norwich early on. In just the 2nd minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 came close to scoring from twenty yards out, but the keeper was up to the task.
In the 6th minute, there was very little that Ruddy could do as Bosingwa was given miles of space just outside the Norwich area. The full back then went on to unleash a ferocious shot as he thumped the back of the net to give http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 the early
lead.
Following the goal, Chelsea kept breaking at the Norwich back line and it seemed like there was very little that the visitors would be able to do, to keep out the Blues, whoc seemed to be looking to go rampant in the game.
However, just as the game started to progress, Norwich finally started to build up on their confidence and created a chance or two of their own. In the 28th minute, Naughton had a pop at goal and forced Hilario to make a brilliant save.
In the 44th minute, just before the end of the half, Bosingwa whipped in a killer cross which fell to Malouda. The Frenchman then went on to volley which very nearly turned into Chelsea’s second of the night.
Soon after that effort from Malouda, the first half came to an end. Both teams headed into the tunnel with all to play for in the second half. Chelsea were looking to try and get the maximum out of the game, while Norwich were looking to try and muscle their
way back in.
