Premier League Match Report: Chelsea vs Norwich – Part 2
The second half of the game kicked off in exactly the same manner that the first ended with. Chelsea were taking the game to Norwich, who seemed more than content with the odd chance that they created.
In the 63rd minute of the game, Hilario rushed forward to try and collect a cross from Naughton. However, the keeper ended up colliding with Ivanovic and as a result, Holt went on to tap the ball into the back of the net. As a result, in a dramatic
turn of events, Norwich had equalized against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge.
In the 64th minute, Drogba collided with Ruddy and got knocked out. The striker had to be stretchered off due to the injury that he sustained and was rushed to the hospital.
In the 80th minute of the game, Ruddy took out Ramires in the box and as a result was shown a red card and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 stepped up to take the resulting spot kick and buried it into the back of the net as he shot
straight down the middle of the goal.
In the 10th minute of extra time, Mata went on to intercept a back pass that was played in the Norwich area. He then expertly curled the ball into the back of the net and as a result picked up Chelsea’s third and his debut goal for the team.
As a result, the game ended with Chelsea strolling their way out of the game, despite suffering a scare in the second half. Nonetheless, Norwich had proven in the game that they were no pushovers and that meant more to them than picking up the three points.
