Liverpool took on Fulham at Anfield, as the Reds looked to try and push start their season once again. The team had been struggling so far this season, with them suffering a series of ups and downs. However, all of that could have taken a turn for the best,
should they manage to start winning things again.
The game against Fulham looked to be the best time to do so, given the fact that Fulham weren’t in the best of forms either.
As a result, it was going to be interesting to see just what team wanted t end up coming out on top more than the other.
The match kicked off with a bang for Liverpool, as they managed to score in just the 9th minute of the game.
A corner was whipped into the box, and Skrtel went on to control the ball and bring it down. He then went on to volley it into the back of the net with force, as he left the keeper with no chance of keeping the ball out.
Then in the 36th minute http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 once again.
This time around http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stewart-Downing-c34221 went on to provide a rather brilliant assist, as he looked one way, while playing his through ball towards Gerrard in completely the opposite direction.
Many felt that the pass was meant for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Glen-Johnson-c15050, but it found its way to Gerrard. Nonetheless, Gerrard went on to latch on the through ball and sent it crashing into the far corner of the goal with ease.
Following those two goals in the first half, Liverpool went into the half time break with a well earned lead, as they looked to try and get as many goal in the game as they could.
This was bound to help them out in the future, and would prove to be something the team was going to build on in the second half of the game.
