Manchester City went on to play host to Sunderland in the Premier League, following a very disappointing night in Europe.
The team went on to draw their mid week game, but their performance in the match was quite disappointing to say the least.
Last season, it was Sunderland that proved to be the Manchester based club’s bogey side, which is why it was going to be interesting to see just how the club played in the game.
In the 5th minute of the game, City went on to score their opening goal of the game via a free kick. The home side were awarded a free kick on the left side of goal and the full back stepped up to take the kick. The Serbian then went on to bend
a fine effort into the near post, which flew over the wall and into the back of the net with ease.
The second goal of the game all the way in the second half, after both City and Sunderland created a host of chances. Despite Sunderland trying their best to contain the City side, they just couldn’t contain Aguero, who score the second goal of the game.
Kolarov darted down the flank and went on to bend in a killer low cross. Aguero then had the simplest of tasks of turning the ball over the line with a touch, which is exactly what he went on to do.
Before the game came to an end, City went on to score another goal in the game. The team were awarded another free kick, in an almost identical position as the one which saw Kolarov score.
This time around, it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Milner-c17706 who stepped up to take the free kick, but just like Kolarov, he went on to bend in a fine effort in the 89th minute.
Soon after the game came to an end, with City winning their match by a very convincing score line of three goals to one.
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 will now be looking to get his side to reproduce this same form in Europe, which is something that has been a great concern for the manager this season.
