Premier League Match Report: Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur – Part 2
Following a goal less first both the teams took to the field looking to pick up all three points from the match.
In the 56th minute City opened the scoring in the game, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360 scored the first goal of the game. Silva went on to spot the midfielders run and played a deft pass towards him. Nasri didn’t think twice and shot first time, as his effort
sailed into the back of the net.
City then doubled their lead three minutes later as Lescott scored City’s second goal of the game. Nasri whipped in a corner and Dzeko flicked the ball on. Lescott then met the ball just in front of the goal and bundled it over the line.
Just when it looked like Tottenham would crumble under the pressure, they went on to attack City just a minute later.
In the 60th minute, Savic failed to judge the height of the ball and flicked it backwards, instead of clearing the ball. Defoe then darted towards the ball and snuck the ball past Hart. Defoe then had an empty net to aim for and sent his effort
into the back of the net with ease.
Five minutes later, Tottenham went on to level the playing field. Lennon danced in the City box and then pulled the ball back to Bale just outside the area. The Welsh international then curled a left footed shot into the back of the net, as his effort dipped
in at the last minute.
In extra time at the end of the second half, King took out Balotelli in the area and the referee pointed straight to the spot.
Balotelli stepped up to take the resulting penalty and sent his effort past the keeper with ease.
As a result, City won the game by three goals to two in the end.
