Premier League Match Report: Manchester United vs Chelsea
Chelsea travelled to Old Trafford in hopes to try and end Manchester United’s dominating start to the Premier League season. The Red Devils were in top form, while http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 despite doing decently so far, really needed to beat their opponents on the night,
in order to prove their worth in the Premier League this time around.
The first goal of the game came in jus the 8th minute, as United opened the scoring on the night. Ashley Young went on to bend in a brilliant free kick, which was met by the head of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Smalling. Despite the defender being in an offside position,
his goal stood as the linesman seemed to miss the player’s positioning during the run of play.
In the 38th minute, United went on to double their lead in the game. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nani-c27299 received the ball some thirty yards from goal and then danced his way towards the goal. The winger then managed to create just enough space to take a shot at goal and simply
buried his effort into the back of the net.
In the 45th minute, United went on to send the Red Devils three goals clear in the game. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Jones-c29903 charged forward and fell over the ball in the Chelsea area. However, the ball managed to luckily fall right into the path of Rooney, who went on
to thump the back of the net from some three yards out.
In the 46th minute, right after the restart, Anelka and Torres combined and managed to grab a goal back for the blues. Torres provided the finish and lofted an effort over De Gea and into the back of the net.
However, soon after, both the teams went on to try and get something out of the game, but failed to do so. Following numerous missed chances and open goal, the match ended with United running away as the winners, with the final score reading three goals
to one in favour of the home side.
