Manchester United played host to Sunderland, as the home side looked to continue their winning streak.
United were sitting a good six points ahead of Manchester City before the start of the day, but with City having won their game earlier on, the Red Devils lead was cut down to just three points.

went on to head the ball into the back of the net, with no one really contesting him.
Nonetheless, the match ended with United claiming all three points, and with Sunderland failing to claim anything from the match.
