Premier League Match Report: Newcastle United vs Queens Park Rangers
Newcastle United played host to Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 at the Sports Direct Arena in the Premier League. Following a goal from Leon Best, the home side picked up all three points from the game.
Going into the game, the only thing everyone wanted to talk about, was how Newcastle would play in the absence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Senegal-c3001, participating in the African Cup of Nations.
On the other hand, Mark Hughes was looking to make an impact in his very first Premier league game as QPR manager.
The match kicked off with a bang, as both the teams looked to attack each other’s goals.
Just when it seemed like the first half would end with the score card reading nil all, Newcastle went on to open the scoring in the game.
Ameobi and Taylor played a number of passes with each other and the ball was then played to the young striker. Best went on to avoid getting too excited and took his time to display skill, before turning in the box to create space. The striker then side
footed a low effort into the far post, as his effort sailed into the back of the net.
Following the half time break, it was Newcastle who were doing all the talking. The home side seemed to be the more confident side on the pitch and QPR seemed to be chasing their shadows for the remainder of the game.
The visitors tired to mix things up later on, as they introduce Macheda off the bench, but the Manchester United striker, who is with QPR on loan, failed to really make the impact that everyone thought he would make.
As a result, the match ended with solitary goal from Best being the one that helped Newcastle pick up all three points from the match.
