Premier League Match Report: Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 vs Aston Villa – Part 2
The second half kicked off with Aston Villa taking the game to the Queens Park Rangers. The visitors seemed to have gotten some new tactics for the second half and they were deploying them brilliantly.
Villa were all over QPR and kept charging towards their goal. This pressure seemed to finally be too much for the home side, as they started lunging in with rash tackles.
In the 57th minute, Traore went in hard on Agbonlahor with a late tackle and the referee pointed straight to the spot.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barry-Bannan-c7309 stepped up to take the spot kick and sent a low drive into the right corner to open the scoring and give his side the lead in the game.
In the 69th minute, QPR thought they had scored when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shay-Given-c33284 went on to make one of the best saves seen this season, as he dove brilliantly to keep that effort out of the
goal.
In the 90th minute Traore was shown a second yellow card for a late tackle and was given his marching orders. With just a few minutes left in the game, his absence wasn’t really going to affect the outcome of the game.
In the last minute of stoppage time, QPR were given a helping hand by Aston Villa, who went on to score an own goal. Warnock tired to clear his lines, but the ball managed to bounce of Dunne’s knee and sailed into the Villa goal.
As a result, the game ended with both sides having one goal apiece at the final whistle.
