Swansea took on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019, as the Swans looked to somehow tap into the form they displayed earlier on in the season, in order to cement their spot in the top half of the table.
On the other hand, Everton were looking to try and get a good start to their season, so that they may be able to contest for a spot in the top six this time around.
Everton went on to take the lead in the game, as Anichebe scored the opening goal of the match. In the 22nd minute, Fellaini went on to control the ball with his chest in the area, and he then played the ball to the striker.
Anichebe then went on to hammer his shot past Vorm and into the back of the net with ease.
From then, it was all Everton, as they seemed to be all over Swansea, who could barely create the odd chance or two.
However, Swansea took another hit before the end of the first half, as Everton went on to score their second goal of the game.
In the 43rd minute, Mirallas went on to score for Everton, as it slowly started to appear like Swansea were as good as done.
Neville won the ball and then played it to Fellaini. The towering midfielder then passed the ball to Pienaar, who slid the ball to Mirallas. The striker then hit his initial shot against the post, but managed to dive in to head the ball into the back of
the net.
As a result, the first half ended with Everton leading by two goals to nil.
The second half kicked off with Swansea coming out with all guns blazing. However, thanks to some brilliant keeping by Howard, they failed to find the back of the net.
Dyer was shown two yellow cards in quick succession and as a result, Swansea were down to ten men in the 58th minute.
That was all the motivation Everton needed, as they took the game to the Swans once again. Then in the 83rd minute, Fellaini headed in a Baines free kick to put the match beyond Swasena’s reach.
As a result, Everton beat the Swans by three goals to nil and took all three points from the game.
