Manchester City took on Swansea in a game that they were desperate to win. However, following a brilliant display by the home side, City went on to lose by one goal to nil.
Going into the game, City were in top form in the League and looked to use that form to get the upper hand on their opponents.
However, with Swansea already proving to be a stumbling block for most of the top teams in the league, it was safe to say that it wasn’t going to be a walk in the part for City.
In the 6th minute of the game, Swasea were awarded a penalty, as Hart went on to take out Routledge in the area.
Unfortunately for Swansea, they couldn’t convert from the spot, as Hart went on to produce a fine save, which kept his side in the game.
As the match progressed, both the teams kept attacking each other, while City looked to be far more desperate to score a goal.
In the 84th minute, Swansea went on to open the scoring as Routledge crossed a ball into the area and Moore arrived late to head the ball into the back of the net.
City went on to attack Swansea in the dying minutes of the game after finding out that United were leading in their game, but failed to score a goal in the match.
As a result of their performance against Swansea, City fell out of the top spot in the league, as they are now trailing Manchester United by one point.
The team is bound to go all out from now on, but the ball in now in United’s court and City have to play catch up, if they are to stand any chance of winning the Premier League title.
