to their Premier League season, as compared to their opponents.
The match kicked off with Liverpool taking the game to Tottenham early on. The home side were feeling the pressure, as the Reds seemed to be everywhere and were dominating the early proceedings.
Then in the 7th minute, Tottenham went on to score the opening goal of the game, out of practically nothing.
Bale went on to bend in a delicious cross towards Defoe and Enrique made an incisive tackle to prevent the ball from finding the forward. However, the defenders efforts saw the ball fall into the path of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857, the midfielder who was believed to be
in no position to play for the team. The Croatian then went on to bend in a brilliant first time effort into the back of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 net from some twenty yards out and Reina could practically do nothing to stop that shot from finding the goal.
Following the goal from Tottenham, the home side got back in the game and were dominating the game all of a sudden. Liverpool seemed to have the life taken right out of them and were all over the place.
With Tottenham dominating the game, Liverpool resorted to trying just about anything to deny their opponents from getting the better of them. As a result, the visitors went on to make a number of poor tackles.
Following this trend that Liverpool were following, Charlie Adam went on to pick up two yellow cards in quick succession and was sent back for an early shower after being shown a red.
As a result, both teams went into the half time break, with Tottenham on top of things and with a one man advantage.
